Located at St. James' Gate in Dublin, the Guinness Storehouse is one of Ireland's most popular tourist attractions. The old brewery and storehouse have been transformed into a wonderful museum that documents 250 years of brewing history, showing the pride and passion that goes into making this world-famous drink.
The self-guided tour takes visitors on a magical trip around this 1904 structure of brick and cast iron. The museum is spread over six floors, over the course of which the history of Guinness is recounted in a series of audio, visual and interactive displays, along with a large collection of Guinness memorabilia. The tour gives the visitor insight into how a tiny brewery in Dublin became a global name, serving more than 10 million glasses of Guinness a day.
This attraction offers an experience like no other. Along the way, visitors learn about the brewing process, meet one of the company's master brewers and get a comprehensive look at its rich advertising history, exploring the heritage and history of what makes Guinness so unique.
At the very top of the Guinness Storehouse the tour culminates in the Gravity Bar. The Bar provides a stunning 360-degree view of Dublin. Here you can enjoy a free pint of Guinness, or other drink, whilst enjoying an unparallel look at the city and its surrounding landscape.
The Guinness Storehouse also has a restaurant, a memorabilia shop and an art gallery. It is within walking distance from Dublin city centre. Open daily from 09.30 to 17.00 (21.00 in July and August), it's an unmissable part of any Dublin visit.
