St Margaret's Golf Club-Golf in Dublin..
St Margaret's Golf and Country Club is located near the village of Swords, in north County Dublin. It is just a few minutes drive from Dublin Airport and only 9 miles from Dublin's city centre. It is an 18-hole, par 72, championship parkland course, spanning some 6805 yards. St Margaret's was designed Tom Craddock and Pat Ruddy, who are the golf architects behind some of the country's finest courses. It first opened its doors in 1992.
Over the years, St Margaret's has achieved international acclaim and played host to three international tournaments. Amongst these were the 2004 Irish PGA championships, which was won by Padraig Harrington. It has also been the chosen course for the 1994 Irish Ladies Open Championship and the 1997 Irish Seniors Championship, which stand as testament to the sheer quality of the golf on offer.
The clubhouse overlooks the course and offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. It boasts a lovely oak wood bar and a restaurant for fine dining. There is also a well-stocked pro shop, with club hire and a caddy service available. A number of professional golfers are available to give tuition. Also on offer are conference rooms, for both large and small groups.
