Castleisland Golf Club is located just outside the busy town of Castleisland, in county Kerry, in the west of Ireland. Castleisland is a town of great history, dating all the way back to the early 13th century, to the building of an Anglo-Norman castle, where its name originates from. It is located just 5 miles from Kerry International Airport.
The newly developed golf course was built on some 200 acres of green Kerry countryside and offers panoramic views of the McGillicuddy Reeks, which form the backdrop of the Lakes of Killarney, one of the county's most popular attractions. The Castleisland Course was built to the highest championship standards and has a sophisticated drainage system to ensure it is playable all year round. It is an 18-hole, par 71, parkland course with USGA standard sand-based greens.
It is a modern course, designed by architect Dr Arthur Spring, and utilises the mature wooded landscape in which it was built. The course has a wide variety of holes, and it incorporates the surrounding countryside to make it an exciting and challenging round of golf, to test golfers of all level. The course offers special early bird green fees (before 11am) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
