Limerick County Golf & Country Club is located in Ballyneety, in County Limerick, in the south-west of Ireland. It boasts being the most comprehensive golfing facility in the area and is situated just 25 minutes drive from Shannon International Airport, and is just 5 miles from Limerick city. The course is built on part of the Croker Estate, ancestral home of New York's Tammany Hall boss, Richard Croker.
Opened in 1994, the course was designed by Ryder Cup and European Tour veteran Des Smyth. It is an 18-hole, par 72, parkland championship course, which spans some 6712 yards, utilising the landscape's natural shape and surroundings to create some of the finest golf in the country. It is a course with something to offer every golfing enthusiast, immediately playable by golfers of all levels, from the seasoned professional to the recreational persuer.
The clubhouse at Limerick County is a fantastic facility. It's restaurant, Croker's Bistro, serves award-winning dishes. Overlooking the back nine is the Ballyneety Bar, where a relaxing recreational atmosphere prevails. The clubhouse also offers exceptional corporate reception facilities to cater for groups of all sizes. It also houses excellent locker room facilities. First-class tuition is also available; the club has four on-site professionals for training. Limerick County also has self-catering 4-star cottages that can be rented.
