Westport Golf Club is located just outside the town of Westport, in County Mayo, in the west of Ireland. The club's origins date back to 1926, when it was first opened as a 9-hole course. In 1973, the course was move to its current location set in 260 acres of rolling parkland, on the shores of Clew Bay (the fifteenth offers a shot with a dive across an inlet of the bay). The club is near Croagh Patrick, Ireland's Holy Mountain, surrounded by the type of breathtaking scenery that typifies the west of Ireland.

Westport is an 18-hole, par 73, championship parkland course, spanning some 6653 yards of beautiful Mayo countryside. The Course was designed by the internationally renowned British Golf architect, Fred Hawtree. To date, the club has hosted the 2002 Smurfit Irish P.G.A. Championship, the Ladies Home Internationals in 1989 and the Irish Amateur Close Championship three times.

The course has a top-class pro shop, which is run by course senior professional Alex Mealia and his capable staff. The shop has everything you'll need to for your challenging round of golf. Club, cart and trolley hire are all available on-site. The course also boasts a newly opened Golf Academy, offering both individual and group lessons. Westport Golf Club also has facilities for lunch, dinner, snacking, as well as a bar area.
