Dungarvin Golf Club is located just 2 miles outside Dungarvin town, in county Waterford, in the south of Ireland. The club lies adjacent to Dungarvin Bay and in the shadow of the Comeragh Mountains. It was founded in 1924, ranking it amongst the oldest clubs in the country. The club moved to its current location in 1991 and Fives Enterprise Dublin Ltd designed the new course. Since 1993 the course has undergone a major overhaul, with new tees built and extension of the fairways amongst other improvements.
Dungarvin Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72, championship parkland course, which spans some 6785 yards, on 128 acres of south Waterford countryside. Throughout the course there are no less than seven lakes and many manmade hazards, offering a challenging round for golfers of all levels, from the seasoned professional to the recreational enthusiast. The club has been awarded the prestigious Blue flag Status, by Bord Failte, in its Golfer's Guide to Ireland.
A hire service is available all year round for golf clubs, buggies and caddy cars. There is a well-stocked pro shop on-site. The clubhouse has a bar and catering facilities open all day long. There are also locker and changing room facilities that can be used by visitors to the club.
