West Waterford Golf Club is located just over 2 miles from Dungarvin town, in County Waterford, in the south of Ireland. The course is overlooked but the rolling Drum Hills to the south and the Comeragh and Knockmealdown Mountains to the north and east, and just a few minutes from Dungarvin Bay and the Celtic Sea. It is just an hour's drive from Cork International Airport.

West Waterford Golf Club is an 18-Hole, par 72, parkland course, measuring nearly 6800 yards, on some 150 acres of picturesque Waterford land, right on the banks of the River Brickey. Indeed, the river comes into play on the 2nd, 12th, 14th, 15th and 16th holes. Eddie Hackett, widely regarded to be Ireland's foremost golf architect, designed the course. The front nine are laid out on a large plateau, with a lovely meandering stream, which crosses the 3rd and 4th holes, making for a unique and scenic golfing experience.

The clubhouse at West Waterford is a split-level, Tuscany-style structure, built to accommodate all visiting golfers. There is a trolley, buggy, caddie and club hire service available on-site. Catering facilities are open all day, offering lunch and dinner menus, as well as, light snacks and tea and coffee. The clubhouse is also home to a wonderful bar.
