Glen of the Downs-Golf in Wicklow..

Glen of the Downs Golf Club is located just a half hour's drive south of Dublin, in picturesque County Wicklow. It is an 18-hole, par 71, parkland course that measures some 6443 yards and has been built to USGA standards, with both sand-based tees and greens.

The design of the course means it is a parkland course that plays like a links. It wonderfully incorporates the natural lakes, slopes, valleys and gorse outcrops of the surrounding area. The course was designed by Patrick McEvoy (who also designed Powerscourt and Rathsallagh) and is situated between the Irish Sea and the infamous Sugarloaf Mountains. The course contains some 90 bunkers, beautifully shaped fairways and providence grass greens and offers players of all levels a challenging round of golf, amid some of the most breathtaking scenery imaginable.

The club has a newly built Pavilion. A contemporary design, it provides the visitor with all the facilities and services needed for a truly great golfing experience. There are also conference rooms, locker rooms, a pro shop and a bar on-site. The Greenside Terrace offers Alfresco dining, whilst enjoying the views of the surrounding Wicklow countryside. The Raheen Restaurant serves a traditional menu with a contemporary twist and overlooks the rolling landscape of Glen of the Downs.
