Greystones Golf Club-Golf in Wicklow..
Greystones Golf Club is located in County Wicklow, just 13 miles from Dublin. The course is set high above the seaside town of Greystones, with the Sugarloaf and Wicklow Mountains providing a picturesque backdrop, and offers panoramic views of Dublin Bay. The club was first established in 1895, making it one of the oldest golf courses in Ireland. It is an 18-hole, par 69, course set out over some 5822 yards.
In 1997, the front 9 were completely redesigned and modernised to meet USGA standards - the tees and greens are now sand-based. The majestic fairways stretch out over the gorse-covered slopes of Jones's Hill. The back 9 retain their traditional greens and tree lined fairways, making up 18 holes of diverse and challenging golf, set against some of the finest countryside in Wicklow, the 'Garden of Ireland'.
In the centre of the course there stands a newly built clubhouse, opened in 1994. It has everything you would expect of a first-class clubhouse, from the fully stocked pro shop, to the excellent locker room facilities, dining area and a bar. There is also a truly unique putting green at the club, it is situated in a beautiful walled garden - it has to be seen to be believed!
