County Westmeath is perhaps one of Ireland’s lesser known counties. It is located in the middle of Ireland and it’s main town are Mullingar and Athlone. The county has come more to prominance in recent times with the rise in the fortunes of the county gaelic footballers which has created a feel good factor throughout Westmeath.
