Dublin City Centre
Dublin City Centre The centre of the city populated by half a million is small enough to cover on foot. It is bisected by the river Liffey.South of the river is Trinity College and the Temple Bar cultural area. Continue around the college to Kildare Street where the National Art Gallery lies and further on the National Museum of Ireland. Some of the most impressive Georgian buildings are here and around Stephen’s Green at the top of the Grafton Street shopping area. Following the road the leads out from Trinity College leads to the oldest building in Dublin, the noted Christchurch Cathedral that dates to the eleventh century and contains crypts that are older than the church.
