Mitchelstown is a small town in Cork, about thirty minutes from the city centre. Its one hotel, the Fir Grove Hotel, is perfectly located both to take in the town itself or the more expansive attractions of the nearby city. A basic hotel the Fir Grove is located within some stunning scenery and has a good range of food, which can be enjoyed throughout the day.
Mitchelstown is a name familiar to most as a producer of cheese and the town is still a big agricultural area. However, it is also ideally located to take in other parts of Cork and Tipperary and a popular music festival is held annually.
