There is plenty to see and do in Baltimore and accommodation such as this means it can be done at your own pace. Situated in West Cork, Baltimore has a reputation as a relaxed and laid-back village. A fishing port, most of its activities centre on its water location. Local points of interest include its ruined castle and nearby Cape Clear.

Youghal cottages have the unique privilege of being situated near the historic walled exterior of this town. Self catering in Youghal has its advantages but its main one must be its proximity to such lovely scenery. Many families choose to stay in this type of accommodation in Youghal. The town has some great beaches for youngsters and in many ways self catering is the ideal type of holiday residence for young families.

Douglas cottages are often booked out during the peak season (which runs from July to September) so booking well in advance is recommended. Self catering in Douglas is a great way of exploring the town and its surrounds as the time is primarily your own. All self catering accommodation strives to offer ‘a home away from home’. Cottages are graded from 1-star to 4-star and grades give a good indication of the facilities on offer.
Douglas is situated to the north of Cork City. It has some wonderful scenery and its golf facilities are recommended.

Mallow cottages have one thing in common. All the cottages in Mallow overlook, or are in the vicinity of, great scenery whether that is Golden Vale or the Nagle Mountains. Many are traditional in their style but are fitted out with modern fixtures and facilities. On arrival don’t be afraid to ask the owner to recommend local pubs or restaurants.
