Mitchelstown self catering falls into two categories, the modern and the traditional. Decide which suits you best. Either, though, will have every facility you need from central heating, to cooking and washing facilities. Some will offer the use of a garden while most have parking facilities.

Perhaps this is due to the great locations of Bantry cottages or perhaps it is the Cork welcome that one gets when living in the neighbourhood. Weekend rates are available in some though most operate on a week to week basis.

Cottages in Skibeereen are some of the most varied in character in the country. Skibeereen self catering varies from the traditional cottage, to the converted farmhouse and even a converted stable. Rates in all are reasonable but do go up in the busy peak season from July to September. Accommodation is graded from 1-star to 4-star, simply choose what best suits your needs.
Skibeereen is located in West Cork and is a lovely picturesque town. Its shopping and restaurants are excellent while in the summer the beach can be enjoyed.

There are no major hotels in Castlemaine reflecting the fact that, although popular, Castlemaine is still an undiscovered gem for many tourists. Those that do visit will be impressed by the hospitality of the locals and the beautiful scenery. Thankfully, there are many excellent guesthouses and b&bs to accommodate visitors during their stay.
Castlemaine is a Kerry town located on the River Maine. It is ideally situated for touring the Ring of Kerry as well as the Dingle Peninsula.

The Listowel Arms Hotel may be familiar to some as the hotel in Listowel in which the annual writers' festival is held. However, any time of the year is a good time to visit. Though an old hotel, it has recently been renovated and now includes a new restaurant and kitchen. Each of its thirty-seven guestrooms offers a view of the River Feale. It is also conveniently located in the centre of the town.
Listowel is a busy town located in Kerry. Events are held throughout the year, which add to its popularity. These include its ‘Wren Boys’ championships and Horseracing Festival.

Ballinskelligs Hotels consist of just the Ballinskelligs Inn. Yet, this small hotel is unexpected. Almost like a retreat, everything you could possibly want is located right here. It is situated right on the beach so in good weather long walks, fishing or swimming can be enjoyed on your doorstep. A restaurant, deli, pub and shop are all located on site. One downside is that only fourteen rooms are available so booking in advance is necessary.
Ballinskelligs village is located on a beautiful bay. Unsurprisingly outdoor activities such as fishing, swimming and boating are hugely popular. For something a little different travel to Skellig Michael, a nearby island.

A recently approved hotel, Kirbys Lanterns Hotel is the main hotel in Tarbert. Overlooking the Shannon, it is the ideal base for exploring the area. It has twenty-two rooms, which means that for most times of the year, prior booking is recommended. Parsons Restaurant offers some excellent cuisine during your stay.
Tarbert is a picturesque village with some great attractions. Chief among these is the opportunity to cruise along the Shannon. Tarbert House also offers insight into the town's history.

Killorglin Hotels
There are no major hotels in Killorglin situated directly in the village. However, just outside the town is located a very good four star hotel which should meet the needs of any visitor to Killorglin. This is Ard Na Sidhe Hotel. This is a renovated Elizabethan house and according to legend has a fairy hill located behind it. Twenty traditionally appointed rooms are available and a la carte restaurant is located here. If you are talking a walking tour during your stay packed lunches are also available.
Killorglin is located just 15 minutes drive from Killarney. A busy town in its own right, it is also conveniently located near to Dingle and Kenmare. During a visit why not stop at the Reptile Museum or the Museum and Exhibition Centre. The busiest time of year is August when the Puck Fair is held.

Derrynane Hotel is the one hotel in Caherdaniel. Rated to three stars, its location is a big part of its charm. Situated right beside the sea, its gardens stretch right to the shore. It even has an outdoor pool from which to enjoy the scenery. Guestrooms are comfortable and the food is simple and delicious. The Derrynane was named Family Hotel of the Year in 2005.
The town of Caherdaniel lies near Derrynane Bay. Famously, Daniel O’Connell once lived in the area and this history can be explored in Derrynane House, which contains a museum dedicated to the ‘Liberator’. Derrynane National Park is also home to some lovely beaches and walking routes.

The Cahirciveen Park Hotel is rated to two-stars and provides reliable service. The Ring of Kerry Hotel has 23 guestrooms and is family run. It has a restaurant and pub, which are both warm and traditional in their atmosphere and service.
Caherciveen is located to the West of Kerry. It is a prominent stop on the Ring of Kerry and is located on the foot of the Beentee Mountain. Famously, Daniel O’Connell was born here and this and other aspects of the town’s history can be explored in its heritage centre.
