A trip to West cork is a must for anyone hoping to do a little wildlife watching. The impressive Atlantic coast boasts some stunning scenery, and its windswept inlets are home to some large seabird colonies. Gannets, Puffins, Manx Shearwaters and Fulmars can regularly be spotted along the coast. West Cork also offers visitors a wonderful chance to watch Ireland’s marine life, with common sightings of Fin and Minke whales, harbour porpoise, numerous species of dolphin and common and grey seals.  This picturesque area also boasts an abundance of lovely beaches which are home to beautiful plant life.
