Sligo is the county town of County Sligo in the northwest of Ireland. Home to a population of almost 17,900 inhabitants, the town is a bustling centre to the county. The picturesque town is dotted with numerous wonderful restaurants, and it is home to a lively pub scene. Visitors must stop by the cosy Hargadon’s Bar, which is an institution in the town. The town is also home to Sligo Abbey, a beautiful medieval building that was built in 1253.
