Longford is a lovely county in the Irish Midlands. The county is home to an abundance of attractions, and a wonderful place to start is the charming town of Adare. This friendly town is famed as one of the prettiest in the country, and it is dotted with charming cottages and ancient ruins. Other attractions in Longford include the Corlea Trackway Visitor Centre in Kenagh, which boasts impressive remains dating back to 148BC. Visitors should also take time to visit the lovely 12th century Rathcline Church close to Ballinamock.
