Cottages in Skibeereen are some of the most varied in character in the country. Skibeereen self catering varies from the traditional cottage, to the converted farmhouse and even a converted stable. Rates in all are reasonable but do go up in the busy peak season from July to September. Accommodation is graded from 1-star to 4-star, simply choose what best suits your needs.
Skibeereen is located in West Cork and is a lovely picturesque town. Its shopping and restaurants are excellent while in the summer the beach can be enjoyed.

Bandon does not yet have its own exclusive hotel. This is surprising as it is the largest town in West Cork and enjoys a reasonably good tourist industry, particularly in the summer months. It does, however, have a good range of B&B’s and self-catering accommodation for your stay. The other option is to stay in hotel accommodation in one of its neighbouring towns. Clonakilty is not far away and has some superb hotels. Innishannon is another choice.
Bandon is a market town, named after the river on which it stands. The West Cork Heritage Centre and Timoleague Castle Gardens are popular attractions in this pleasant town. Mitchelstown is a small town in Cork, about thirty minutes from the city centre. Its one hotel, the Fir Grove Hotel, is perfectly located both to take in the town itself or the more expansive attractions of the nearby city. A basic hotel the Fir Grove is located within some stunning scenery and has a good range of food, which can be enjoyed throughout the day.
Mitchelstown is a name familiar to most as a producer of cheese and the town is still a big agricultural area. However, it is also ideally located to take in other parts of Cork and Tipperary and a popular music festival is held annually.

Glanmire, as expected of a small Cork town, is only home to one hotel, the Vienna Woods Hotel. Thankfully, then this hotel is of a good standard, graded to three stars and has a good range of facilities. Originally a converted mansion it oozes character. Its location within woodland also creates the feeling of getting away from it all.
Glanmire may be small but it does have a good range of restaurants, shops and pubs. If it all gets too quiet for your liking Cork City is only four miles away.

The hotels in Midleton may be limited but there is no disputing the quality on offer. Midleton Hotels total just one, the Midleton Park Hotel and Spa, but it has all the amenities you might require during a visit to the town. Recently renovated it now has a more modern feel and offers the services which the contemporary traveler now requires. These range from its new spa facilities to an improved restaurant and business centre.
Midleton is situated in East Cork. A sense of tradition is still palpable in such a small town and historic centres such as the Jameson Heritage Centre are very popular.

Hotels in Cobh tend to be busy most times of the year with the summer months being especially so. The Cobh Hotels, which cater to visiting tourists, are Waters Edge Hotel and Rushbrooke Hotel. The latter is a medium-sized three star hotel with a lovely warm interior. The former, the Waters Edge, is also three star, family-run and as the name suggests is beautifully located.
Cobh is a pretty harbour town. A lot of its history centres on its location as the point of departure for many years to America. The Queenstown Story tells Cobh’s part in the history of Irish emigration.
