Cottages in Skibeereen are some of the most varied in character in the country. Skibeereen self catering varies from the traditional cottage, to the converted farmhouse and even a converted stable. Rates in all are reasonable but do go up in the busy peak season from July to September. Accommodation is graded from 1-star to 4-star, simply choose what best suits your needs.
Skibeereen is located in West Cork and is a lovely picturesque town. Its shopping and restaurants are excellent while in the summer the beach can be enjoyed.

Bandon does not yet have its own exclusive hotel. This is surprising as it is the largest town in West Cork and enjoys a reasonably good tourist industry, particularly in the summer months. It does, however, have a good range of B&B’s and self-catering accommodation for your stay. The other option is to stay in hotel accommodation in one of its neighbouring towns. Clonakilty is not far away and has some superb hotels. Innishannon is another choice.
Bandon is a market town, named after the river on which it stands. The West Cork Heritage Centre and Timoleague Castle Gardens are popular attractions in this pleasant town. Mitchelstown is a small town in Cork, about thirty minutes from the city centre. Its one hotel, the Fir Grove Hotel, is perfectly located both to take in the town itself or the more expansive attractions of the nearby city. A basic hotel the Fir Grove is located within some stunning scenery and has a good range of food, which can be enjoyed throughout the day.
Mitchelstown is a name familiar to most as a producer of cheese and the town is still a big agricultural area. However, it is also ideally located to take in other parts of Cork and Tipperary and a popular music festival is held annually.
