Brooklodge and Wells Spa Hotel is the one hotel in Macreddin Village. Everything about this hotel has been designed around the concept of a luxurious retreat from everyday life. Millions have been spent on making its spa, The Wells, one of the best in the country. Continue the health buzz by eating in the hotel’s organic restaurant. For something a little more strenuous try the Macreddin golf course or go walking in the Wicklow Mountains. Fittingly Macreddin Village is a sleepy town which although charming is never too hectic. Interestingly its properties are owned by Brooklodge so its pubs; brewery and café have the same sense of homeliness which is experienced in the hotel.
Have you ever visited Macreddin Village or its hotel. Is so let us know what you thought below.

Arklow hotels are the best of the old and the new. Representing the old is the oldest hotel in Ireland, the Best Western Woodenbridge Hotel. Over 400 years old, it is located beside the Avoca River. It has been rated with three stars and has over twenty rooms. The Arklow Bay Hotel offers the best of modern facilities. It offers a state of the art leisure centre and conference facilities though its restaurant is more traditional in style. Choose which style suits you best between the hotels in Arklow.
Arklow is a busy village, whose history is based around its fishing industry. To learn more visit the Maritime Museum. It has a good range of interesting unique shops too.

The two Ashford hotels couldn’t be more different. One, is a 19th century manor house with a riding school attached. This is the Bel Air. The other is Ballyknocken House, a former farmhouse that specialises in home cooked food made by the owner. She also runs a cookery school where you can be enrolled during your stay. Both hotels in Ashford though are alike in their emphasis on tradition, comfort and friendliness.
Ashford is a beautiful village conveniently located on the Dublin-Wicklow road. If you only visit one thing during your stay make sure it is the Mount Usher Gardens.
We would love to hear any comments you have on Ashford and its accommodation.

Bray hotels are quite numerous in keeping with a town, which is busy most times of the year. All hotels are either two or three star, making them reasonably priced. The most luxurious is probably the Esplanade, which is located on the seafront and has its own fitness centre. The Royal hotel is another popular accommodation with nearly 100 rooms and swimming pool. The hotels in Bray offer easy access to Bray’s local attractions. Bray is a busy seaside town. It has a good selection of restaurants and nightclubs and is not far from Dublin’s city centre.

Rathnew hotels are of the family-run, comfortable variety and are all the better for it. Both of the two hotels in Rathnew strive successfully for that ‘home away from home’ feel. The Tinakilly Country House hotel is the larger of the two with over 50 rooms. Built in the 1870s it still retains a historical feel while its a la carte restaurant is a popular local haunt. Hunter’s Hotel is a former coaching inn with an emphasis on tradition. Now run by the same family for generations everything about the hotel emphasises comfort and homeliness.
Rathnew is located in Wicklow and is not far from Wicklow town itself.
Have you stayed in Rathnew accommodation recently? If so would you care to share your views? Simply post your comments below.
